Kristinn Hrafnsson is an Icelandic investigative journalist and was WikiLeaks’ spokesperson from 2010 to 2016. Prior to joining WikiLeaks, he worked at various media organizations in Iceland, as a freelance reporter and then with RÚV, the Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, in 1991.
In 1997, Hrafnsson became a correspondent at Channel 2, TV. He was the news editor at DV newspaper in 2004 but rejoined Channel 2 in 2007 to co-host the weekly investigative journalism program Kompás (Compass).
Hrafnsson has been awarded three times by Iceland’s National Union of Journalists; for best investigative reporting, best feature reporting and Journalist of the year.
